Product Manager

    The Product Manager will work cross-funcationally with the Technology and Supply Chain teams to lead the customer discovery as we develop a pay-as-you-go electric pressure cooker, PowerUP’s first product. This role is responsible for understanding the customers’ challenges and making those learnings actionable.

    You will embody the iterative process of Build-Measure-Learn as we passionately uncover the optimal household solutions for our emissions reduction goals. A typical day will involve designing / executing pilots, creating requirements, leading customer insights projects, running data analysis, and leading special projects.

    PowerUP's technology will help our primarily women customers cook faster, cheaper, and with less carbon emissions - giving them more control of their time, finances, and health.

  • Main Responsibilities

    1. Be the voice of the customer (buyer and user). Understanding and advocating for their interests in all aspects of our operations.

    2. Be a strong multi-faceted product manager - consistently shifting the balance of customers insights, technical understanding, business acumen skillsets.

    3. Lead the promotion and execution of the company product development process.

    4. Coordinate between the Technology and Supply Chain leads and their teams during the development process.

    5. Support in the creation of the product roadmap and product strategy.

    6. Systematize the collection and processing of customer insights and market intelligence.

    7. Be part of the founding team; influence on the future shape and culture of the Product team and company.

  • Skills / Experience

    • Minimum 4 years of relevant product management and/or project management experience in a fast-pace setting.

    • Effective communications skills for collaboration with customers, engineers, contract manufacturers, and senior leadership team.

    • Extensive experience in both field research and experimentation (A/B testing, surveying, focus groups, testing willingness to pay, etc…) as well as macro-level research (market sizing, energy costs, ability to pay, etc…).

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

    • Start-up experience in low to middle-income countries preferred.
