Embedded Systems Engineer

    The Embedded Systems Engineer will work across engineering disciplines to lead the day to day development of a pay-as-you-go electric pressure cooker, PowerUP’s first product. This strong individual contributor will also guide others members in the Technology Team. As a senior engineer you will be highly involved in the coordination between the Technolgy, Product, and Supply Chain teams - being the technical voice in cross-functional projects. PowerUP's technology will help our primarily women customers cook faster, cheaper, and with less carbon emissions - giving them more control of their time, finances, and health.

  • Main Responsibilities

    1. Lead on the technical design and implementation of pay-as-you-go electric pressure cooker.

    2. Be a strong multi-faceted senior engineer - supporting in electrical, firmware, mechanical, and test manufacturing.

    3. Lead the promotion and execution of the company product development process.

    4. Mentor other engineers in the Technology team by setting the standard for best practices.

    5. Coordinate between the Product and Supply Chain leads and their teams during the development process.

    6. Be part of the founding team; influence on the future shape and culture of the Technology team and company.

  • Skills / Experience

    • Minimum 4 years of relevant embedded systems engineering experience (any mix of electrical, firmware, and mechanical).

    • Extensive experience as an individual contributor on small to mid-size consumer electronics engineering teams.

    • Strong engineering know-how bringing high volume consumer electronic products from concept to mass production.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

    • Start-up experience in low to middle-income countries preferred.
